They’d already screened CVs and run interviews, but kept meeting candidates who were passionate about fashion or looking for creative roles — not people who genuinely enjoyed precision work.
Working closely with BrandAlley, Pollen designed a role-realistic assessment based on an actual brand email. Candidates were asked to spot errors, check links, and verify audience logic — testing the exact skills the job demands, while giving applicants a clear window into what the role really involves.
This approach surfaced a group of high-potential candidates who wouldn’t typically apply for a specialist role like “CRM Assistant” — but were perfectly wired for the work.
